I’m David Gibbeson, an outdoor, travel & landscape photographer based in Devon. I enjoy taking photos of the UK, especially in the South West of England, and can often be found photographing the scenes and landscapes on Dartmoor or Exmoor national parks, or by the sea photographing the British coastline or taking seascape photos.
I specialise in travel and landscape photography, and love to capture poignant scenes, especially during the golden & blue hours. At these times, the light really helps to create stunning scenes. I am happy trudging around in pretty much any weather, or at any time, especially if there is a specific photo that I want to capture. My aim is to secure my place among the UK’s leading professional landscape photographers, and to be an ambassador for the places that I visit and photograph.
My photos have been used and published in a variety of ways including fine art prints, stock imagery, and published in books, magazines and brochures. My photos are available to buy and I also undertake photographic commissions. I have worked with charities, media clients, marketing agencies and individuals. If you would like to discuss the usage of one of my images or discuss a bespoke commission please contact me.
Have a look around at my photos. I update them regularly; you can also see photos and some of what I am getting up to in my photography blog.
I love taking photos of seascapes and the British coastline. Seascape photography is probably one of my favourite types of photography. I have a true affinity with the sea which is reflected in much of my photographic work.

Dartmoor National Park is one of my favourite places to photograph. There are so many different things to take photos of including stunning views, ancient stone circles, tors, rivers and forests. All are stunning in every season, and brilliant to photograph whatever the weather.

I love black & white photography, especially for landscapes because it can really convey mood while highlighting features and texture often masked by colours. I love how even the simplest monochrome picture can have a huge amount of atmosphere and poignancy.
