An Instow Panorama at Sunset

by David Gibbeson

The sun had managed to make an appearance outside after a fairly miserable day. I didn’t have much time before the sun was due to set, but when I checked the Instow webcam to my delight there were some nice clouds breaking in the sky. I dashed out to catch the light and I was glad I made the effort once I reached Instow.

When I got there the tide was going out and the water was almost perfectly still. This photo is a panorama from over 20 shots stitched together with Photoshop CS5. I cropped it a little to refine the composition and cloned out a boat in the background that didn’t blend properly in the merge. Apart from that there weren’t any major adjustments, just the usual curves and vibrance and a touch of adjustments in hue/saturation.
