A Dartmoor Tree

Dartmoor National Park

by David Gibbeson

There are plenty of trees on Dartmoor, but this one was particularly pleasing on the eye as the sun was setting below the hill behind me. I took this photo at Nun’s Cross Farm. The old farmhouse is attractive, but I like to find other things to capture along with my main aim. I love how the warm evening sunlight captures the top of the tree.

Challenging weather

The weather has been challenging for photographers so far this winter. However, I have done my best to meet the weather’s challenges by getting out there anyway, to capture what I can. Occasionally, the dynamic weather has gifted me nice moments; those that I would have otherwise missed if I had of just stayed at home.
