A Burst of Light

by David Gibbeson

The sun was only able to pierce the clouds for a few moments as it got close to the horizon. The relatively small burst of light was a welcome sight against such a stormy backdrop. I captured this image on the same evening that I took “Distant Light“. I like how dynamic the coast can be on even the smallest scales of time. Sometimes, in the most fleeting moments you are able to see a blue sky through the smallest of gaps in the cloud while everywhere else is dark and ominous. It can make you feel quite small.
